About Amie Valkner

She loves that she gets to call the beautiful area of Empire, in Leelanau County, home. There is truly no place like it! Born and raised just across the road on her family's farm, she has been blessed to build a home with her husband, Michael, and raise our two beautiful daughters, Liliana and Eleanor, who are beginning to find their own place in the world as they dive into adulthood.

 

Her career? A fun mix! She’s done everything from human resources to planning events, to helping students, parents, and teachers in the Glen Lake School elementary office. Now she's juggling roles as an Executive Assistant (yes, TJ’s my brother), NAR member, and supporting the NAR members that make up Team Shimek. Her time in Real Estate has allowed her to meld together her passions for helping others, her love for this area, and the value of family and those you hold close to your heart. There is nothing better than finding joy where you live and the opportunity to create memories with family and friends. Real Estate has given her the chance to do just that!
